Before uploading my pics anywhere I resize them first using this powertoy for the PC...

http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe

If you run this exe it will install an extra 'right-click' option when you click on an image file in file explorer (it works with multiple file selections too!)

When you select 'Resize Pictures' you get three choices. I use the 'medium' option and pictures resized to this size fit nicely on this forum.

BTW if you see pics on here that look a bit cropped then select a lower zoom % in the bottom right corner of Internet Explorer and you'll see what's missing.

Enjoy!

Please make this a 'sticky'!
So many people ask how to post photos; I once did myself!

Another way is if you have your own web site online, either on a server hosted by some ISP (Internet Service Provider) or if you run a server on your own permanently connected to the Internet. Then you can refer to an URL on that site where you have placed your photo. Can be a good idea if you are confident that your hosted site is likely to keep these photos online for a longer time and with better uptime than a free upload service like PhotoBucket.

As an example I upload a photo to my web domain "laidback.tv" using an FTP client such as Filezilla,
then refer to it in this post as an "img" tag. Example:

Code: Select all

And it will look like this:

Some trivia: Since its royal service, the Daimler has been maintained by the Jaguar Heritage Museum and has therefore always been in Jaguar ownership.
It went on auction in 2010 "RM Auctions' Sports and Classics of Monterey sale" and sold for 77000 US dollars.
