JAG89 has an opportunity to change identity. Here's my options....
Image
I was thinking of changing out to my fathers plates as he's no longer allowed to drive. The plates would be good on a TWR 40. However unexpectedly the TWRXJR plates came available and I had to grab them. So... do we stay JAG89 or move to the option of GR8SCT or declare the model with TWRXJR?

TWRXJR would definitely be the choice in the UK, but is it known enough over there? Great plate! Grosct is surname? Here in Spain, most people wouldn't know what TWR XJR means  but you'll like to look at it with your jag club mates

no contest there, though i am not sure how many folk over that way know what TWR is? so it may be a little lost on them?

GR8SCT is number plate speak for GREATSCOT. It was my fathers, 'cause he's from Glasgow. I also think it's appropriate for a TWR 40 as Walkinshaw was a Scot too. I am however leaning towards TWRXJR.

both are really good plates... either would be great on the car...
twrxjr seems the most appropriate... there arent many others it could go on!

What bushes do you mean , all of them ? , was there any particular reason or just a feeling they were getting on a bit and could do with replacing , anyhow i hope you've noticed the difference in the ride now they're all new ;)

Yup, all of them. Jag89 is not handling as well as it should, so I'm slowly working away at sorting the handling out. There were some bushes that were had it, actually, quite a few, so I thought that while everything in the back end was out I'd sort them all out. I now have a known quantity in the back. Handling is much improved but not there yet. Next on the list will be a bit of rust work around the rear pillar. Then I'll be onto the front bushes to see if I can get the handling sorted.

A-frame and upper/ lower dampers? besides those then the whole rear subframe would need to be dropped to changed the others possibly?
what is wrong with the handling. are there noises or movement.
the front lot are usually the prime suspects, so i would have done those first (upper wishbone, vee mounts, upper dampers, roll bars etc)

shame the lower part of the rear bumper has been damaged. they nearly always are on these. wonder if that was done when fitting the tow bar? :?
