That's a relief, BMW used this type of ZF 4HP22 box and my M535i had this and they had a habit of loosing drive due to a build up of pressure causing loss of drive usually in all forward gears and this happened to me twice. But on the third generation of 5 series they modified the box with a pressure relief drilling in it.

Your 4.0l Jag box is actually ZF 4HP24, the 22 one is a mechanical box used in 3.2l Jags. Don't think I ever heard of a faulty 22 box and maybe one 24 box!
That is a releif as I have had my fair share of changing knocked auto boxes, I did think the Jaguar version was more robust.
