My old lady had a top of the line '94 e-class that I drove from Vancouver to Kelowna and back (about a 6 hour fast, twisty drive) - found it to be a bit of a wallower and certainly couldn't take bends anything like as upright or slam into corners like you can with a 40. Nothing like as spirited a machine.
Big ol pig if you ask me, wouldn't ever want one.
Managed to flog it off in 2005 to a MB "enthusiast" for 10 grand and got her a real car.
