A grey fauve in France

Postby X-D_78 » Wed Feb 20, 2019 9:23 am

Hello
My name is Xavier, 55, and I live in Versailles, France. You know the Castle!!...
Unconditionally fan of this mythical brand, like many of us I think, I've been the lucky owner of a XJ40 Sovereign 4.0 from 1989 for nearly 6 years (2013) now,.... with which I regularly cruise regional roads (7000-8000km/year). in fact I use it every other day because I also drive with an ancient mercedes -(you're right, it's a german car :( , but an ancient ;) )- . I use my jaguar as a daily vehicle -
Moving from the valley of Loire* in 2018 to Parisian area (both are french regions, you know!!), I have already found contacts of some amateurs, also passionated to share on our beautiful English car..
Hopping that this forum make possible other acquaintances...
So thank you for your welcome !!

 *Castles, river, sparkling (or not) good wines, beautiful landscapes, horsetraining...

Regards

Welcome Xavier!
She's a beauty, your grey Jaguar. I like the original wheels, too.
Which old Mercedes do you drive, Xavier? Many years ago I used to drive a 1983 W123 Series 200 Automatic. Slow but comfy, and beautifully closing doors, a really quality feel to them.

Regards,
Aidan

Hi Aidan,
Thank you for your Welcome..
I also drive a Mercedes W123 230 4gears from 1977.. the same as the old parisian taxis.rustic but solid... far from my XJ40 but a real pleasure, too!!

Off course, I left Saumur because the castle was not big enough!!! better in Versailles, there are more rooms, and the garden is bigger

but when you come in France, take time to visit the valley of Loire from Angers to Orleans (june-october), you will discover very beautiful things
