I have a tiny strip on the front of my bonnet that needs touching up. I was thinking of buying one of the original touch up pen kits from Jaguar Classic Parts. I don’t know about where to buy larger cans of touch up paint though.

Where does it need to be applied, Steve?

For anything bigger than a straightforward stone chip a rattle can is indeed best...

I get all my Westminster blue from this bloke , and i've pretty much painted my whole car over the last few years , it's pretty cheap for a can of base coat but don't waste your time with the lacquer as it won't last long on horizontal surfaces , best use a 2k lacquer ,

To be honest most of the 2k in cans are only good for small jobs and hopeless trying to do large panels but i've had much better results with this one , not the cheapest and once the knob on the bottom is pushed in to puncture the hardener the whole can must be used , you can prolong the hardening effect by putting the can in the fridge which will make the process slow right down and it should stay usable until the next day , the trouble i find with normal lacquer is after a while , depending on how much sunlight the area gets , it will craze ,

This was done with that lacquer , just don't ask how many cans :?

Thanks Derek. It's only going to be for small areas under the bonnet round the engine bay as and when I come across them changing parts over etc. I think maybe a 2K clear might be a bit overkill having to activate a can everytime I need to do do a 5 inch square piece of paint work.
