Well done Derek.

Hi Aidan

No, I left that to the experts. National Windscreens via Footman James insurance as there was a chip on the front screen so it needed changing anyway. I paid myself for the rear screen removal. After the welding it goes on trailer to XJrestorations for a respray of the roof and bonnet, then back home for the headlining and then windscreens re-instated.

And then converting to quad headlights

And then a new exhaust system

And then get the seats refurbed.

Biting the bullet. They all need it sooner or later.
Well worth the effort. How bad were the A posts? I don’t remember any issues there last time I saw the car? Though that was a few years ago.

Hi Naki

Its not serious rust, just mild bubbling on the base of one A post, but I do want to catch it before next winter. The C post is worse and I made a start on that today.

Headlining is out

Rust removed

Patch welded in.

Not happy welding that close to the fuel filler !

Good job, Chris. Not the best place!
All sorted now though?
