You should then clean the tape mechanism itself using a mechanical type of cleaner with a wetting agent. An approved cleaning kit is available from the Jaguar accessory range. DO NOT use abrasive type cleanres because they can cause excessive wear on the playback head"
Worth a try ?? ;)

Good thinking Don. Though it’s odd to shut down the whole stereo, just because the tape head needs cleaning.

Well, I have to say, the Jaguar Worid article is incredibly complementary! Very pleased to have done the feature with them.
It’s a great read if anyone else has picked up a copy. It’s a R Special edition, so plenty of interesting features.

Looking at the Jaguar website, the go-faster models appear to have an "S" badge on.

Is "S" the new "R"?

My perception is that S is a watered down R, like it always has been.

Although if S is the new R, that could be good for desirability of S models like mine!

OK, so following the sequence "Q" would be a faster "R".

Who knows. Though i think R-S is the best of both worlds?
One thing I can’t stand is calling cars “Luxury” or “Premium”. May as well be a toilet roll.
