I think Super Luxury has become so necessary, it's part of the "Essentials" range in Waitrose.

Just enjoyed reading this. It is a good article, Craig Cheetham is obviously a fan. I didnt realise how few XJRs were made. It says in the article that after 91 they all had fishtanks but yours has quads. Did you convert it yourself ?

Indeed. There were really not many relative to the entire production figures.

He took it steady on his drive, but I took him out afterwards for a full throttle experience.

Yes, I converted mine to Quads too. Just like you are doing.
Have a look at page 1-3 on this thread.

For what it's worth in my opinion, proper motor cars have round headlights. Fish tanks are for fish (clue in the name). Though design and maybe "aesthetics" may also favour them too ............ :?:

Owners of Rolls Royce Silver Spirits might have a thing to say about that?
Square car with square lights?

Anyhow. That’s devils advocate. I to prefer the quads on 40R clearly!)
But I like tanks on Sovereign and Daimler.

Yes I was thinking of Rolls Royce owners and their "square from any angle" cars when I made that comment .... Arguably "pretty". H hmmm pass me the rose tinted spectacles ....

I'm converting to quads purely because they throw out more light than the admittedly corroded fishtanks. Its a daily driver and last winter I found I was getting more illumination from the car following me!

Of course. That’s getting to be the standard Situation for fish tanks now.
Did you look at rechroming the reflectors?
It’s not the convenient plug and play option, but it is doable.

The last time I looked into it reflector re-chroming wasn't available but now I have the quads I'm quite looking forward to seeing how it looks once they are installed. Something like yours I should imagine!
