The squeak/groaning suspension is still with me - but I'm fairly certain (hopefull is probably more accurate) that its the top nuts on the rear dampers.

I'll get round to them later - as its more about getting the Daimler back on the road right now. Hopefully before summer is out!

Nice to have it working again though!

A familiar looking scene. Did you get the lighting logic fitted ok now too? All systems go?

Not yet - it’s all still in pieces in the garage!

Decided a holiday was required before getting stuck back into the Jag and the Daimler.

Will be back next week and then we shall see what happens.

Thanks again for your help, advice and parts!

I’m driving around in the Mercedes with my head bowed in sufferance! :)

However, I’m hoping to take the Daimler to France in October/November - to readdress the situation. Hopefully it’ll be it’s innaugaral run abroad. Although I might stretch it’s legs on safer shores first with a decent run up the A1 to work. Not so bad if it explodes in the UK - as there’s expert help closer to hand. :?

Lots of structural rust, suspension components, electrics, MOT and other hurdles to pass first though - so not getting too far ahead of myself yet!

I like a holiday deadline though as it gives me (and Keith’s welding/paint team) something to work towards! :)

Got an e-mail last week to say windscreen #3 has been rejected from Pilkingtons. :(
Since they moved classic car glass production to Finland, its been a shambles. They keep getting the heating elements wrong. If I wanted a standard windscreen - I'd be fine. The thought has crossed my mind to just have a standard screen fitted - but no, the car should have heated as that's the option it came with from the factory.
It's been over a year now - but thankfully I didn't even get an advisory on the MOT this year. Must have been a different examiner this time.
Hopefully it'll have new glass for the next MOT!

Defo keep the heated screen, 3rd best upgrade for my own Jag after auto dimming rear view mirror and x308 headlamps :)

I found this under the car this afternoon.
Does anyone have a clue if it’s something important that’s fallen off!
