Pressumably, if they quoted you a price for the tyres, they can actually supply them?

Didn't get that far in the conversation due to shock factor  new tyres are OK. They do look tall but they ride very well. I'm not the kind to throw the car about anyway. Craig

Been spending a few bob on the jag recently. New water pump, belt, radiator flush and radiator mounts. Been using her daily for the last week or so and on a recent journey to buy a sledge hammer (sure I had one but must have lent it) I was stopped by a fella who used to own a xj40. Anyway, he was telling me that he still had a steering wheel for one in his house and did I want it? Fifty quid later and here it is......

I looked at myrtle ones and must admit they look great but a bit expensive for me. I haven't had chance to drive her yet with the new wheel. Has anyone experience of 're laqouring the wood trim as mine is great but bleached in the sun.

That steering wheel is quite striking. I imagine it comes to hand quite nicely?

I'm certainly interested to hear of any experiences people have of this.

The make of the one I have is Luisi. I looked at mine new and it would be about £190 plus the boss at about £40. So not too bad really. I haven't driven it with the wheel on but it does feel nice. :D

Mot time today, fresh ticket and only advisories were for rear perelli tyres cracking (bought 2006) and brakes need bleeding a pedal slightly spongy. Again I knew as a bit of air got in when I was messing with them a few weeks ago. :D I did less mileage than I thought though, will have to use her more! ;)

Hi. I'm still having issues with the lumpy gear change from first to second? I've done the following....
1. Gearbox oil and filter change, approx 9 litres.
2. Jurid coupling change.
3. Rear diff oil change.
4. Gearbox mount rebuild as the rubber had dissintigrated.
5. Throttle adjustment and gear change adjustment on cable all the way I.e. from sharp gearchanges and kickdown at 30mph lol to no kickdown at all.
6. All brake calipers rebuilt and don't drag.

Do you think it worth me changing the engine mounts? I get a lurch when selecting D or R and due to the gearbox mount not doing it's job for so long I thought the engine mounts could be causing a wind up type symptom on the gear change? I have flipped the engine with bonnet open and the movement doesn't look excessive. I'm running out of ideas?

Any suggestions would be great.....cheers.
