We stayed here last year,

Also another member has suggested this. Another interesting venue nearby. I have not been, but it has a very stylish website, and is undoubtably motoring related!
Has anyone been before?

Chesford Grange looks very nice and in a good location - as it comes well recommended I’ll book that one, thanks!

Jagfest looks like it’ll be very interesting! So far I can make the Saturday 15th June, might go down for that day to see what’s on (probably in the S Type).

Update.

While attending this meet today I spoke with the organiser who will be setting aside an XJ40 only parking area.

He asks that we keep him posted on numbers so the right space is allocated. It will be either on the front lawn or outside the Jaguar Collection building.

There may well also be a magazine covering the event.

It should be a cracking day!

I have been trying to keep a tally, if new attendees can add their names to the list, we have a chance of tracking Numbers.

Darren- are you coordinating the evening meet/ hotel to all meet at? I haven’t heard anything on that, so it would he good to know if you are having an input on that side of things? If not we shall sort it ourselves.

Will the evening social be on the Friday or the Saturday? If if’s the Saturday evening, I’ll have to book the Sunday 4th Aug off work so would be good to know as far in advance as possible!

I agree yes. Always best in advance to help more people get involved. Especially useful if any overseas members will attend.

Ok. So I have not heard back from Darren, so I think we can only assume we are sorting the evening meet up ourselves.

I will stay over at least one night.
Maybe two if there’s enough others to make it worth while? Chesford Grange + The Mill is a tried and tested combination on that area, so unless there’s any better suggestions, I would suggest that’s as good a place as any to convene for breakfast/ evening drinks and a chat.

Is anyone coming from overseas? Leo/ Pim/ Florian/ Rens?

Attending the Evening meet.

1-Naki
2- KingfisherJon
3- CarlMT?

ChrisW? It’s not a school night!

Sorry everyone, I'm back now. Apologies for my flakiness over the last couple of weeks. Work and other things have been keeping me somewhat tied up.

Would the Saturday be better for the social? Give us a chance to reflect on the day and have an easy Sunday start before driving home?

One other thing, the Breakfast Club seems to start breaking up around 1. There is possibly a couple of hundred Jaguars there from 9ish. So the question is what to do in the afternoon? I'm mindful that we can only spend so long at the Jaguar Heritage collection and the car museum.

Shall I see whether there are any other car shows on that day? Or other things we can do?
