A small group not linked to Jaguar directly but had the last of the line cars and unusual ones etc......and moved to Gaydon when Brown's lane closed. They didn't seem to have much ability to get unavailable parts re-manufactured in my view. I remember having to go through the JDHT website to get to the parts section. Now though on the JHT (its dropped the D) site there is no mention of Parts.
So a few years ago Jagaur Classic was created. This is part of JLR group at the old Peugoet site in Coventry and they restores any Jaguar or Land Rover and gets parts made for them......at a price of course!
It looks like the Parts business is now part of Jaguar Classic as opposed to the JDHT.
I hope this means the parts we all want to see made again do actually start appearing now the JLR are running it!!
Good observation. I think the old operation was run by Unipart, before they went bust?
Making individual parts at a cost is all well good for a high end restore, but I think we can see where the new stock prices are heading, even on some mundane items.
It’s certainly a hard balance to find between profitably for them, and affordability for us owners.
