A small group not linked to Jaguar directly but had the last of the line cars and unusual ones etc......and moved to Gaydon when Brown's lane closed. They didn't seem to have much ability to get unavailable parts re-manufactured in my view. I remember having to go through the JDHT website to get to the parts section. Now though on the JHT (its dropped the D) site there is no mention of Parts.

So a few years ago Jagaur Classic was created. This is part of JLR group at the old Peugoet site in Coventry and they restores any Jaguar or Land Rover and gets parts made for them......at a price of course!

It looks like the Parts business is now part of Jaguar Classic as opposed to the JDHT.

I hope this means the parts we all want to see made again do actually start appearing now the JLR are running it!!

Good observation. I think the old operation was run by Unipart, before they went bust?
Making individual parts at a cost is all well good for a high end restore, but I think we can see where the new stock prices are heading, even on some mundane items.
It’s certainly a hard balance to find between profitably for them, and affordability for us owners.

On the plus side, the LR section is actually useful to us LR owners! We can while away an hour seeing quite how expensive some of the parts are I can’t afford!

Site is fine, you lot are overreacting

To be honest, its mobile age and previous site wasn't mobile friendly. My only issues are lack of(?) delivery to local dealer which means that other places will be probably cheaper now, especially annoying since I have a Jag dealer on the other side of the road pretty much. Also, the schematics are too small, have to zoom in on each subpage to see the numbers and the CSS for subcategories is a bit crap and basic with each subcategory being exactly the same white block as the upper category. If they can sort these out, it will be fine.

That’s my biggest issue with it too. As it’s still part of JLR, I wonder if the dealer may be able to order the parts in at the prices listed on the site if you call them?

The answer to that is yes.
I have done that for years.
Get the email of the parts dept. Send them the part numbers. They reply when they have arrived. Usually the next day.
Better still, ask for a 10% trade discount! I have been getting that for years!

How many cars do you need to own to get this? :)

I just asked them for it. They didn’t hesitate in the slightest. No further questions, your honour.
They have got to know me very well, so it’s in their benefit too.
I got the same from Grange, then became Matford in Exeter. Now I am shopping Duckworth Boston.

Yes indeed and Derek's house would have a view of Wembley Stadium if it wasn't for the houses in between.

I’ll definitely try that 10% trade discount, thanks for the tip! I’m sure my local dealer will be the only one that actually checks...
